August 2, 2007 -- The Newmarket Real Estate market remains strong with many homes changing hands in a very active market.

The average price for detached homes in Newmarket increased to $390,594 in July from $375,843 in June. Semi-detached homes prices increased to $276,253 in July from $272,934. There were no sales of Link style homes in July but June's average was $292,500. The average price of condominium apartments in Newmarket was down in July to $216,608 from 220,875 in June as were Condominium townhomes ($237,778 in July from $278,269 in June) but this is based on a limited number of sales which should be taken very lightly as a lage volume of sales is needed to indicate a true average price. Freehold Townhomes in Newmarket remained steady at $282,440 up marginally from the $282,323 recorded in June.

This report is very encouraging as the average price in Newmarket Real Estate usually drops in mid-summer based on many people vacationing and consumer attitudes shifting somewhat from the Housing market.
